PINELAND -- Eighth-ranked West Sabine scored three times in the third quarter to pull away from San Augustine for an impressive 60-21 win Friday night.

The victory keeps West Sabine (7-0) undefeated and gives the Tigers a 3-0 record in District 10-A Division I. With victories against preseason favorite Alto and defending district champion San Augustine, West Sabine is in full control of the league title race.

West Sabine built a 28-14 halftime lead on ReShod Williams touchdown passes for 40 and 82 yards to Kirkland Wilson, plus Nick Williams touchdown runs of 10 and three yards.

Nick Williams started the third quarter with an 18-yard touchdown run and two-point conversion for a 22-point lead before linebacker Hunter Cabral delivered the knockout blow on a 65-yard fumble return touchdown for a 44-14 Tiger lead.

West Sabine limited a potent San Augustine offense to 277 total yards and picked off three passes.

Gary Sturrock and Wilson added touchdown runs in the game's final 15 minutes as the Tigers' lead grew to 60-14.

San Augustine quarterback JaMikel Roberts finished 13-for-25 for 161 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions, while rushing 12 times for 85 yards and a score. Receiver Dez Randle caught six passes for 107 yards and a score, his 14th of the year, while Darius Murray scored the game's final touchdown on a 29-yard run with 5:44 remaining.

San Augustine (3-5, 2-1) visits Alto (5-3, 2-1) on Friday for what should be the No. 2 playoff seed from 10-A Division I.
