Athens Shuts Out Center 3-0 at Palestine Tournament

PALESTINE -- Athens built a two-goal halftime lead and added another goal in the second half to pull away for a 3-0 win against Center in Thursday's soccer match at the Palestine Tournament.

Enrique Rodriguez scored the game's first goal and assisted the final one, which Bryant Castaneda scored for the 3-0 victory margin. Juan Mota assisted Rodriguez' goal before scoring his own off a Castaneda assist for a 2-0 halftime advantage.

Athens' Johnny Gonzalez got his first shutout of the season playing in goal.
