Tyler Turley had big plans for his final season, but his plans were derailed on one play during a scrimmage against Carthage.

"This is my senior year, this is the year I would have gotten my playing time," Turley said. "I was going for a tackle and I don't really remember what happened in that moment. I tried to get up and I my body fell, and I did not know what was wrong and I looked down and my leg was broke. It was my fibula and my tibia, and it was sticking out."

Tyler would need surgery on his right leg.

"They shoved a rod down my right leg and I have two screws here and one at the bottom and those are going into my bone," he said.

But just hours after surgery, Tyler was back on the field.
