Rankings for Class 3A and Class 2A come from Txhighschoolbaseball.com. Class A rankings come from the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association.

Class 3A

Region II Quarterfinal

  • Pleasant Grove has reached five consecutive state tournaments, winning state championships in 2010 and 2012.

Did you know?
  • After a 10-10 start, Diboll has won 7 of 8 games, including wins over a 27-7 Carthage team and a 2-1 series victory against 24-4 Caldwell, which finished the regular season ranked eighth by the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association.
  • Hudson swept the district series against Diboll, beating the Lumberjacks 3-0 on March 15 and 5-4 on April 12.
  • All three teams from 20-3A that reached the postseason are still in the playoffs: Hudson, Carthage, and Diboll.

  • Mount Vernon’s Game 2 and Game 3 wins against Quitman snapped a three-game losing streak. The Tigers lost warmup games to Class 3A schools Emory Rains and Pleasant Grove before dropping Game 1 to Quitman.
  • Despite that three-game skid, Mount Vernon has won 14 of its last 18 games.
  • Mount Vernon finished 13-1 in District 15-2A, three games better than second-place Pattonville Prairiland.
  • Palmer has won 14 of its last 15 games.
