PRICE -- The top-ranked Carlisle Indians continued their domination of District 20-A, tossing their fourth consecutive no-hitter in a 13-0 win over Union Hill on Friday.

Three Carlisle (15-0, 8-0) pitchers combined on the five-inning no-hitter. Gunner Baker started and struck out six in two innings, Ben Goss had five strikeouts in his two innings and Shadow Sanders fanned every batter he faced in the fifth.

Zach Brightwell was 2-for-2 with a homer, double and three RBIs to lead the Indians at the plate. Goss was 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles and four RBIs in the win.

Carlisle's season resumes April 5 at Overton. Union Hill plays host to Beckville on April 5.

Elkhart Edges Garrison

GARRISON -- Cullen Adams homered, lifting the Elkhart Elks to an 8-6 win over Garrison on Friday in District 19-2A action.

Hunter Parker and Jordan White teamed up on the mound for Elkhart, which improved to 18-5 overall and 5-1 in district.

Elkhart returns to action Thursday at home against Palestine Westwood. Garrison plays at Nacogdoches Central Heights on Thursday.

SOFTBALL

Hughes Springs Takes Down Linden-Kildare

LINDEN -- Ashlin Roach homered and drove in two runs, leading Hughes Springs to a 4-1 win over Linden-Kildare on Friday in a District 16-2A battle.

Kaitlyn Morris got the win for the Lady Mustangs (17-11, 6-2), allowing one run on six hits with nine strikeouts in six innings.

Hughes Springs' season resumes Tuesday at Queen City.

Elysian Fields Tops Jefferson

ELYSIAN FIELDS -- The Elysian Fields Lady Jackets used a three-run inning to help take down Jefferson, 6-2, Friday in District 17-2A action.

Montanna Methvin had three RBIs to lead Elysian Fields (19-8, 6-2) at the plate. Keely Howard and Jane Harris each went 2-for-3, while Kaylee Prather walked three times, scored three times and stole five bases.

Howard (9-2) got the win in the circle. She struck out nine and did not allow an earned run.

Jade Turner and Katelyn Whatley each had two hits for Jefferson (2-6 in district).

Elysian Fields is back in action April 5 at home against Waskom.
