Beckville Punches Ticket To Regional Quarterfinals With Area-Round Sweep Of Detroit

HUGHES SPRNGS -- The Beckville Ladycats rolled to a 25-11, 25-9, 25-10 sweep of Detroit on Thursday night in their Class 2A Region III area-round playoff.

Kinley Blair led Beckville (33-5) with six kills to go along with 10 digs, two blocks and a pair of aces. Carley Lawhorn added five kills, six digs, two blocks and three aces, and Carson Blair delivered five kills, five digs and six aces.

Cassie Elizondo contributed five kills, five digs and a block, Natalie Morris registered four kills, a pair of digs and three aces, while Kassidy Alexander dished out 29 assists to go with three kills and 12 digs.

Beckville will face either Fruitvale or Union Grove next week in the regional quarterfinals.
