Tyler Bishop Gorman junior receiver Judah Bell picked up a Division I FCS offer on Monday, adding to his list of FBS suitors.

Bell (6-3, 180) tweeted the news of a Stephen F. Austin offer.

In addition to the new SFA opportunity, Bell holds 12 FBS offers from Bowling Green, Coastal Carolina, Houston, Kansas, Memphis, Navy, North Texas, SMU, Louisiana-Lafayette, Louisiana-Monroe, UTSA, and Wyoming.

SFA endured a fairly disappointing season after reaching the FCS playoffs in 2014. The year ended with a 4-7 record, but the team did seem to turn a corner in the back half of the season by winning four of its final six contests for a 4-5 Southland Conference mark.

One of the Lumberjacks’ losses came to TCU, which was the No. 3 FBS team in the country at the time. Three other defeats came by one possession.

Head coach Clint Conque will be back for a third season this fall.

SFA also has been a major haven for college bound East Texas high school players since starting its program in 1923. Brownsboro ATH Tamrick Pace, Nacogdoches WR Alex Gregory and Pittsburg LB Fre’zarian Harrison will all begin college careers with the Lumberjacks next month.

Bell recorded 1,350 yards and 16 touchdowns during his junior campaign on 68 receptions. He helped guide Bishop Gorman to the bi-district round of the TAPPS Division II playoffs in the process.

Like all high school football prospects in their junior year, Bell will become eligible to sign with any program that offers him in February.
