Bobby Chadwick is leaving his dual role as Spring Hill head football coach and athletic director for East Texas Charter School in Longview.

The move, which was first reported by Smoaky.com, comes after Chadwick spent one year with the Panthers, leading them to a 3-7 record in 2012. Chadwick coached Ore City the previous four years, guiding the Rebels to a 20-21 mark.

Chadwick will be the AD at ETCS, which participates in UIL competition in cross country, tennis, golf, and track and field, but does not field teams in football, basketball, baseball, softball, or volleyball.

Spring Hill's next head football coach/athletic director will be the school's fourth since 2009, which was Robert Bero's final season with the Panthers. Bero, who is a former Longview head coach and is now an assistant coach at Gilmer, led Spring Hill to a 23-28 record that included first-round playoff appearances in 2006-07.

Bill Poe coached Spring Hill in 2010-11, going 6-14 before leaving for an assistant coaching job at Marble Falls.

The 2007 playoff appearance is the last time Spring Hill reached the postseason. Since then, the Panthers have gone 15-34, with their best season in that span coming in 2010 when they finished 4-6.
