JACKSONVILLE -- The 10th-ranked Jacksonville Indians remained unbeaten on the season with a 44-27 win over Nacogdoches on Tuesday night.

Dadrian Franklin led Jacksonville (31-0, 8-0 in District 16-4A) with 14 points. Daytron Thompson added eight points and Raybon Riden collected six in the win.

Nacogdoches fell to 13-13 overall and 2-6 in district.

Jacksonville's season resumes Friday at home against Whitehouse, while Nacogdoches plays host to Corsicana.

Whitehouse Blows Past Lindale

LINDALE -- Three Whitehouse players reached double figures in scoring in the Wildcats' 66-39 win over Lindale on Tuesday in District 16-4A action.

Jaylon Dews, Patrick Mahomes and Jake Parker all had 14 points to lead Whitehouse (21-8, 5-3).

Lindale, which plays host to John Tyler on Friday, fell to 9-18 and 0-8 in league play.

Kilgore Snaps No. 19 Chapel Hill's Winning Streak

KILGORE -- Xaviar Gaona scored 16 points to lead Kilgore to a 51-49 win over No. 19 Chapel Hill on Tuesday, which snapped the Bulldogs' 13-game winning streak.

The win improved Kilgore to 10-14 overall and 7-3 in District 16-3A.

Michael Harris and DJ Sammons had 12 points apiece for Chapel Hill (20-8, 10-1), which closes out its district schedule Friday at home against Gladewater.

Kilgore's season continues Friday at Henderson.

Spring Hill Cruises to Big Win Over Gilmer

LONGVIEW -- Matt Williams had 15 points and five assists, leading Spring Hill to a 59-35 win over Gilmer on Tuesday in District 16-3A action.

Kendon Womack added 12 points for Spring Hill (20-10, 8-3), while Clay Lattier racked up 11 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Adam Lattier had two points and 14 boards.

Gilmer dropped to 0-10 on the season.

Spring Hill is off on Friday before closing out the regular season next Tuesday at Bullard. Gilmer faces Bullard at home on Friday.

Athens Rips Rival Brownsboro

ATHENS -- The Athens Hornets scored an 89-40 victory over District 15-3A-leading Brownsboro on Tuesday.

Anthony Sanders and Courtland Lyons scored 20 points apiece for Athens (17-15, 4-4). Rolee Sloan added 15 rebounds in the winning effort.

Brownsboro slipped to 21-8 and 6-2 in district play.

Athens' season resumes Friday at home against Canton. Brownsboro is at Mabank.

Fairfield Takes Down Palestine

PALESTINE -- The Fairfield Eagles scored a 46-34 win over Palestine on Tuesday in District 19-3A competition.

Fairfield improved to 15-6 overall and 5-1 in district.

Palestine (10-16, 3-4) was led by Shumauri Scott's eight points.

The Wildcats are off Friday before ending the regular season next Tuesday at home against Rusk.

Second-Ranked White Oak Rips Jefferson

WHITE OAK -- Slade Sutton scored 22 points, leading No. 2 White Oak to an 88-52 win over Jefferson on Tuesday in District 17-2A action.

Hayden Nichols added 17 points and eight rebounds for the Roughnecks (28-1, 12-0), while Levi Yancy muscled his way for 10 points, eight boards, six blocks and three steals. Kris Anderson chipped in with 10 points and four assists.

David Police led Jefferson (8-4 in district) with 21 points.

White Oak continues its season Friday at home against Ore City, while Jefferson is at No. 3 Tatum.

Waskom Cruises Past Ore City

WASKOM -- William McKnight scored 15 points, leading Waskom to a 70-26 rout of Ore City on Tuesday in District 17-2A play.

Kris Monroe added 11 points for Waskom (17-8, 6-5), which had 12 players in the scoring column.

Keenan Whetstone led Ore City (2-10 in district) with 10 points.

Waskom is back in action Friday at home against New Diana.

Jarvis Smith's Monster Night Propels No. 8 San Augustine

SAN AUGUSTINE -- Jarvis Smith had 23 points and 20 rebounds, 14 of which came on the offensive end, in No. 8 San Augustine's 109-28 rout of Lufkin Pineywoods Academy on Tuesday.

Five other players reached double figures in scoring for the Wolves (17-5, 8-0 in District 23-A Division I). Zhikavan Wilson had 16 points, JaMikel Roberts and JaCourtney Thomas supplied 13 apiece, Jordan Garret registered 12 and Desmond Randle added 10.

Bobby Tanner chipped in with six points and 10 assists.

San Augustine resumes its season at home against West Sabine, while Lufkin Pineywoods (0-8 in district) is at Zavalla.

Big Sandy Has No Trouble With Beckville

BIG SANDY -- Isaiah Johnson had 25 points, leading the Big Sandy Wildcats to a 77-36 win over Beckville on Tuesday in District 17-A Division I action.

Taurus Keppard added 15 points for Big Sandy (21-4, 8-2), while Matt Easley chimed in with 11 points.

Beckville dropped to 1-10 in district.

Big Sandy returns to the court Friday at home against Carlisle, while Beckville is at Overton.

No. 11 LaPoynor Cruises Past Carlisle

LARUE -- Mason Motal had 22 points and 11 rebounds, leading 11th-ranked LaPoynor to a 78-27 win over Carlisle on Tuesday.

Dean Johnson added 20 points, seven assists and seven steals for the Flyers (24-5, 10-1 in District 17-A Division I). Octavious Creer contributed 19 points, seven assists and seven steals and Ashton Abendroth had 12 in the winning effort.

LaPoynor is back in action next Tuesday at home against Big Sandy in the regular-season finale.
