LINDALE -- The 10th-ranked Jacksonville Indians kept their undefeated season alive with a 48-21 win over Lindale in District 16-4A action on Tuesday.

Dadrian Franklin led the Indians (29-0, 6-0) with 18 points, while Raybon Riden added nine.

Mason Terry and Austin Drawbond had five points apiece to lead Lindale (9-16, 0-6).

Jacksonville returns to the court Friday at home against Corsicana. Lindale, meanwhile, travels to Nacogdoches.

Patrick Mahomes, Whitehouse Edge Corsicana

CORSICANA -- Patrick Mahomes scored 34 points to lead the Whitehouse Wildcats to a 79-74 win over Corsicana on Tuesday in a key District 16-4A battle.

Jaylon Dews added 22 points for the Wildcats (20-7, 4-2), while Jake Parker chimed in with 12 points.

Mike Lewis paced Corsicana (21-7, 3-3) with 20 points. Dzifa Mallet and Ernest McGhee added 13 points apiece, while Ralph Watts had 12.

Whitehouse is back in action Friday at home against John Tyler.

No. 19 Chapel Hill Tops Spring Hill, Clinches Playoff Spot

LONGVIEW -- The No. 19 Chapel Hill Bulldogs clinched a playoff berth with a 65-51 win over Spring Hill on Friday at Panther Gymnasium.

The Bulldogs, which led by just one at halftime, used a 22-point fourth quarter to pull away.

Michael Harris led Chapel Hill (19-7, 9-0 in District 16-3A) with 19 points, while D.J. Sammons added 16.

Spring Hill (18-10, 6-3) was led by Clay Lattier, who finished with 17 points and six rebounds. Ben Brundrett added 13 points and six boards.

Chapel Hill is back in action Friday at home against Bullard, while Spring Hill travels to Henderson.

Palestine Goes Over .500 in District

PALESTINE -- Ben Luckett had 16 points to lead Palestine to a 63-38 rout of Groesbeck on Tuesday in District 19-3A action.

Jarrell Owens added 10 points for Palestine, which improved to 10-14 overall and 3-2 in district.

Palestine returns to the court Friday at Mexia.

Second-Ranked White Oak Blows Past Elysian Fields

ELYSIAN FIELDS -- No. 2 White Oak had no trouble Tuesday night, roaring past Elysian Fields, 86-25, in District 17-2A action.

Six players reached double figures in scoring for the Roughnecks (26-1, 10-0). Slade Sutton and Josh Benson led the way with 13 points apiece. Kris Anderson added 12 points, seven assists and four steals, while Skylar Sutton contributed 12 points, four assists and three steals.

Cass Carr had 11 points, while Levi Yancy had 10 points, eight rebounds, three steals and two assists.

Elysian Fields dropped to 0-10 in district.

White Oak travels to third-ranked Tatum on Friday for their second meeting of the season. The Roughnecks won the first matchup, 59-54, on Jan. 8.

Elysian Fields is at New Diana on Friday.

No. 3 Tatum Jumps All Over Waskom

WASKOM -- The third-ranked Tatum Eagles kept pace with District 17-2A-leading White Oak with a 92-49 rout of Waskom on Tuesday.

Javolick Garrett led a group of five Tatum (25-7, 9-1) players in double figures with 18 points. Jahee Johnson added 17 points, Cole Hughes had 15, Klifton Willis registered 14 and Donovan Centers contributed 11.

Kevin Johnson and William McKnight led Waskom (15-9, 4-6) with 13 points apiece.

Waskom returns to action Friday at Jefferson.

No. 19 Palestine Westwood Takes Down Central Heights

PALESTINE -- Jerry Turner scored 17 points, leading 19th-ranked Palestine Westwood past Nacogdoches Central Heights, 62-56, Tuesday in District 19-2A action.

Josh Denby added 12 points for Westwood (18-9, 8-1), while Chris Thompson added 10.

Central Heights fell to 3-6 in district.

Westwood plays at Crockett on Friday, while Central Heights plays host to Woden.

Eighth-Ranked San Augustine Continues to Roll

SAN AUGUSTINE -- Bobby Tanner had 25 points, six rebounds and six assists to lead No. 8 San Augustine to an 85-41 rout of Zavalla on Tuesday in District 23-A Division I action.

Desmond Randle and JaCourtney Thomas had 16 points apiece for the Wolves (15-5, 6-0), while Jarvis Smith added seven points and 12 rebounds.

San Augustine's season continues Friday at Brookeland. Zavalla (2-4 in district, meanwhile, is at Broaddus.

No. 12 LaPoynor Routs District-Leading Martin's Mill

LARUE -- James Jackson had 22 points and 12 rebounds, leading 12th-ranked LaPoynor to a 73-47 win over Martin's Mill on Tuesday in District 17-A Division I action.

The win pulled the Flyers (22-5, 8-1) even with Martin's Mill (17-9, 8-1) atop the district standings.

Mason Motal added 13 points for LaPoynor, while Octavious Crear had 11. Dean Johnson recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 assists.

LaPoynor is back in action Friday at home against Beckville, while Martin's Mill plays host to Big Sandy.

No. 15 Tenaha Escapes Joaquin

JOAQUIN -- The Joaquin Rams put up a fight, but 15th-ranked ranked Tenaha was able to come away with a 49-48 win on Tuesday in District 22-A Division I competition.

Wyatt Hairgrove led Joaquin (11-9, 4-2) with 21 points and five steals. P.J. Peterson added 12 points and 10 boards, while Will Vaughn contributed 10 points and 10 rebounds. Tra Rogers registered nine rebounds and seven assists as well in the losing effort.

Joaquin continues its season Friday at Shelbyville, while Tenaha plays host to Martinsville.

Isaiah Johnson's Big Night Propels Big Sandy

BIG SANDY -- Isaiah Johnson had 32 points, leading the Big Sandy Wildcats to a 62-44 win over Harleton on Tuesday in District 17-A Division I action.

Joshua Jackson added 10 points for Big Sandy, which improved to 19-4 overall and 6-2 in district.

Harleton fell to 2-6 in district.

Big Sandy is at district-leading Martin's Mill on Friday, while Harleton plays host to Overton.

Martinsville Rolls Past Timpson

MARTINSVILLE -- Hunter Holder had 23 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists to lead Martinsville past Timpson, 67-44, in District 22-A Division I action on Tuesday.

Peyton Burton added 13 points for Martinsville, which improved to 4-2 in district.

Timpson meets Gary on the road on Friday.

No. 15 Laneville Gets Back On Track

LANEVILLE -- Tralon Alexander had 18 points, nine rebounds and five assists to carry 15th-ranked Laneville past Apple Springs, 98-27, Tuesday in District 25-A Division II competition.

Kendrick Anderson also had 18 points to go with nine boards for Laneville (18-9, 5-3), Aaron Bush added 15 points and seven boards. Donta Harris chimed in with 14 points.

Laneville returns to the court Friday at No. 17 Douglass.

Tyler Grace Scores Win Over Carrollton Prince of Peace

CARROLLTON -- The Tyler Grace Cougars rebounded from a loss rival Tyler T.K. Gorman with a 67-62 win over Carrollton Prince of Peace on Tuesday.

Verlo Levels led Grace (12-12, 3-4 in TAPPS District 2-4A) with 16 points, seven rebounds, three assists and two blocks. Trevor Gunter added 14 points, eight boards and three blocks and Andrew Melhart contributed 12 ppints.

Phillip McKinney provided 11 points, 10 rebounds and four assists and Tanner Starr had 10 points and nine rebounds.

Grace concludes its regular season Friday at Dallas Christian.
