MESQUITE -- Brook Hill closed its season Friday one game short of a repeat appearance at the TAPPS Division II state tournament with a 15-0 loss to Fort Worth Christian at Mesquite's Tillery Field in the regional round.

The Guard were held to one hit in a run-rule loss and also endured five errors. Logan Fitzgerald broke up the no-no.

Fort Worth Christian, the road team, took control of the game in the first inning with one run. A four-run second inning and one-run third put Brook Hill in extremely hot water.

A six-run fourth inning ahead of a three-run fifth was all she wrote for Brook Hill.

Tito Martinez took the win on the mound for Fort Worth Christian, which now awaits TAPPS' release of the state tournament bracket.
