BULLARD -- Eight teams played a total of eight games in Monday's weekly 7-on-7 football league in Bullard, and half of those games went to overtime.

Jacksonville, Bullard, and Bullard Brook Hill each went 2-0 for the top performances of the evening.

Brook Hill started the night with a 21-14 overtime win against Troup. Quarterback Grant Hanks hit Seth Brasher for a one-yard touchdown in overtime, which forces each team to start each series from the 15-yard line instead of the usual 45-yard line, for the decisive score.

Brasher caught five passes for 88 yards and two touchdowns, while Chase McDermott snagged five passes for 69 yards. Quarterback Zac Wilson completed 10 of 13 passes for 122 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception, while Hanks completed 4 of 7 throws for 58 yards and the game-winning score. Gabe Lucio caught three passes for 23 yards and a touchdown.

Troup quarterback Blake Lynch, who holds offers from Baylor and Mississippi State, completed 5 of 12 passes for 90 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. Marquis Davis was the recipient of one of those touchdown throws, covering 33 yards on his catch-and-run score.

Brook Hill won a second overtime game 20-14 against Tyler T.K. Gorman, which pushed Bullard to overtime in the final game of the day. The Panthers got a 15-yard touchdown strike from Connor Mebane to Zach Eschberger on their first play of the second overtime series for the victory.

Mebane completed 14 of 21 passes for 146 yards and three touchdowns, all of which went to Eschberger, who caught four passes for 47 yards. T.K. Gorman quarterback Tristan Saint completed 11 of his first 13 passes before Bullard's defense stiffened. He finished 12-for-26 for 97 yards and two scores, which went to Josh Regal (7) and Dominique Jasso (29).

Bullard started its evening with a defense-oriented 7-0 victory against Troup.

Jacksonville quarterback Carter McCown threw eight touchdown passes in the Indians' two wins: a 35-14 victory against Frankston and a 21-14 overtime decision against Arp, which quickly recovered to notch a 14-7 win against Tyler Grace.

McCown hit Trent Sansom, Claude Franklin, and Tony Lane for a touchdown apiece against Arp, with Lane's coming for the win in overtime. Arp quarterback Chase Bonner threw touchdown strikes to Justin Johnson and Thomas Reese.

Frankston bounced back from its 21-point loss to Jacksonville to beat Grace 21-14 in the next-to-last game of the evening.
