CARTHAGE -- The Bullard Lady Panthers continued the young season by taking two of three matches at the Carthage tournament on Thursday.

Bullard (4-2) defeated Marshall 26-24, 25-9 and Jefferson 25-19, 25-6 before falling in three sets to host Carthage 25-20, 13-25, 20-25.

In the Lady Panthers' win over Marshall, Meredith Daly led the way with 12 kills while registering a .733 hitting percentage. Bri Ridgley provided 12 assists and three aces from the service line, Mackenzie Fish put up five kills, Madi Hodges had nine digs and Mallory McCoy assisted on seven points.

Daly had four kills, two aces and two blocks in the defeat of Jefferson. Fish produced a team-high five kills, Lexie Abercrombie came away with two digs, Ridgley had 10 assists and six aces and Maddy Davis added a pair of aces.

In the loss to Carthage, Ashley Searcy paced Bullard with six kills while hitting at a .625 clip. Daly chipped in with seven kills and one block, Hodges picked up eight digs, Julia Frisby was 2 for 2 on kills, Ridgley and McCoy combined for 19 assists and Hana Woyt contributed two blocks and two kills.

Bullard is off on Friday, but resumes play in the Carthage tourney Saturday.
