EMORY -- Hunter Moore scored six touchdowns Friday and helped Canton slip past Emory Rains, 40-29, at Wildcat Stadium.

Moore threw for four touchdowns and ran in another two scores to account for all of the Eagles' points with exception to extra point kicks. He recorded 466 total yards in the game.

Tanner Moore broke 100 yards receiving on seven catches and scored twice.

The Eagles (7-2, 3-1) stayed in contention for second place within District 6-4A Division II, but Wills Point won the league crown by defeating Dallas Lincoln. Wills Point and Lincoln were both unbeaten in the district ahead of the head-to-head game.

The Eagles will host Lincoln this upcoming week for their regular season finale, and the winner will clinch second place behind Wills Point.

Rains (3-6, 1-3) simultaneously plays Dallas Roosevelt. The winner of that game will claim the last postseason spot out of the district.
