Canton’s Samuel Miller Offered By Nevada

The second Division I FBS offer is in for Canton 2015 defensive end Samuel Miller and it's from Nevada, Miller announced via Twitter on Tuesday afternoon.

Miller (6-3, 220), who received his first offer March 29 from UTSA, has been receiving a good deal of recruiting attention in the past couple of weeks. Just last week, coaches from Texas A&M, Baylor and Arkansas visited Canton.

Nevada, which competes in the Mountain West Conference, is the 52nd unique school to extend an offer to one of the 22 East Texans in the 2015 class with at least one FBS offer. The Wolfpack went 4-8 overall and 3-5 in league play last season.

Miller had a solid junior season for Canton, recording 89 tackles, 26 of the tackles for loss, as well as four sacks and three forced fumbles.

Canton, after beginning the 2013 season 0-4, rallied to win four of its next five and qualified for the playoffs. Other notable returnees for the Eagles are quarterback Chandler Eiland and offensive lineman Jacob Busch.
