HALLSVILLE -- The Carthage Lady Dawgs earned a pair of wins Thursday at the Hallsville softball tournament.

Carthage defeated Whitehouse, 6-2, before taking home a 7-5 win over Harmony.

In the win over Whitehouse, Kayman Courtney went 2-for-3 with a double, two RBIs, and a stolen bases to lead Carthage. Chelcie Pierce added two hits, including a double, with two runs scored.

Kalli Cuff drove in two, while Kimberlyn Worsham added an RBI.

Taylor Willis got the win in the circle, allowing two unearned runs on three hits with four strikeouts in five innings.

Pierce was the star of Carthage's win over Harmony. She doubled and drove in three runs at the plate, and earned the win, surrendering just one earned run on six hits with three strikeouts in four innings.

Carson Robertson, Kaitlyn Earle, and Teagan Barker also had RBIs for Carthage.
