BROWNSBORO -- For the second consecutive week, Canton junior quarterback Chandler Eiland delivered a huge performance to lead the Eagles to a 35-25 win at Brownsboro in District 15-3A action.

Eiland completed 18 of 34 passes for 251 yards and two touchdowns and ran 20 times for 121 yards and three scores to fuel the Eagles' 10-point victory, which is their third in a row and gives Canton, which clinched a playoff berth, a 4-5 record and 3-1 district mark entering Friday's regular-season finale at home against rival Van (3-6, 3-1).

The 372-yard, five-touchdown performance comes on the heels of Eiland's 519-yard, six-touchdown effort in last week's 49-35 win against Mineola. That earned him the Queen Offensive Player of the Week award, plus the Built Ford Tough Class 3A Player of the Week honor.
