BULLARD -- Chapel Hill's unbeaten run through Saturday's Bullard 7-on-7 state qualifier tournament will send the Bulldogs to next month's state event in Leander.

Chapel Hill went 4-0, including three blowouts. The Bulldogs beat Tyler T.K. Gorman 50-6, Kaufman 33-7, Gilmer 27-20, and Canton 48-6.

Kaufman joined Chapel Hill as the event's other state qualifier. Since both had already snagged state berths, they agreed to not play Saturday's championship game.

Chapel Hill joins Carthage and Jasper as East Texas schools that have qualified for the Division II 7-on-7 state tournament.

The Division II state tournament is July 11-12 at Southwest Williamson County Regional Park in Leander. The Division I tournament is July 12-13 at the same location.
