Robbie Williams is officially on to his next phase of football.

Williams, who played his senior season with Chapel Hill this fall, announced on Twitter that he is committed to play for Northwestern State University next season.

Williams chose NSU over schools such as Southern Miss, Louisiana-Monroe and Stephen F. Austin. Williams led Chapel Hill in receiving in 2017, and came in second in 2018 with 35 catches for 461 yards and four touchdowns.

Northwestern State competes in the Southland Conference of the NCAA's FCS subdivision. The Demons finished 5-6 in 2018.

Williams, like all seniors, is first eligible to sign with any school that offers him later this month.
