TYLER -- Christopher Wilhelmi made sure Tyler Grace Community would see another week in the playoffs.

Grace's quarterback put up more than 330 yards of offense to lead the Cougars to a 28-18 win over Houston Second Baptist on Friday in a TAPPS Division II first-round matchup.

Grace (10-1) will face Houston Northland Christian in the state quarterfinals at a time and site to be determined. Northland Christian beat Grace's district rival Frisco Legacy Christian, 48-14 on Friday night.

Grace beat Frisco Legacy 35-26 to open district play on Sept 25.

Wilhelmi rushed for 174 yards and a touchdown on 25 carries and completed 8 of 16 passes for 167 yards and a score in the Cougars' win.

Mason Dacus added a 1-yard touchdown run for Grace, which would put the game away in the middle of the fourth quarter of a game that saw Second Baptist rally from a 2-10 halftime deficit to get within 21-12 in the third quarter.

Dacus also caught two passes for 72 yards.

Grace raced out to the 21-0 lead on a 42-yard touchdown run by Wilhelmi, a 40-yard interception return for a touchdown by Josh Spitzer and a 64-yard connection from Wilhelmi to Brady Newman.

Josh Newman caught 54- and 75-yard touchdown passes in the third quarter to get Second Baptist within nine before Dacus iced the game.
