Connor Mebane + Bullard Edge Quitman to Begin Season

QUITMAN -- Connor Mebane passed for two touchdowns and intercepted a pass on defense in Bullard's 21-20 season-opening win over Quitman on Friday night.

Mebane completed 9-of-11 attempts for 151 yards and added 66 rushing yards on 12 carries. Mebane's scoring passes went to Drake Daly and Brooks Conlee. Brentavian Henderson rushed nine times for 42 yards and Bullard's other touchdown.

Caleb Hallford recovered a Quitman (0-1) fumble for Bullard (1-0), which held the Bulldogs to 237 total yards.

Bullard is back in action Friday at home against White Oak, while Quitman is at Redwater the same night.
