CORSICANA -- Blake Hoffman threw a touchdown and ran for another, and Corsicana kept Marshall winless on the season with a 22-19 win on Friday.

Hoffman ran 16 times for 117 yards and a touchdown and threw for 52 yards and a score on 7 of 16 passing.

Derrion Nathan, who scored Corsicana's other touchdown, ran 12 times for 34 yards.

J.J. Green's touchdown pass to Chandler Kelehan got Marshall within 22-19 with just over nine minutes left in the game. Marshall would get as far as the Corsicana 28 with 41 seconds left, but Green's pass on fourth-and-18 fell incomplete and the Tigers escaped with the win.

Green threw for 219 yards and three touchdowns, two of which went to DeKendrick Bender. Bender finished the game with four catches for 80 yards. Kelehan made four catches for 69 yards and a score.

Tre’lyn Lewis led Marshall in rushing with 14 carries for 81 yards.

Marshall (0-4) opens district play at Texas High at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29.
