Cowboys Stadium in Arlington to Host All 11-Man Football Championships in December

The University Interscholastic League announced Tuesday that all state football championships for 11-man classifications will be played at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington.

This season is the third consecutive season the UIL has used pre-determined locations for football championships in classifications 1A through 5A. Cowboys Stadium has hosted the 3A through 5A titles since 2010 and hosted all 1A through 5A championship games last year.

Vernon Newsom Stadium in Mansfield hosted 1A and 2A titles in 2010. The UIL has pre-determined 5A state championship locations since 2006.

Here's the UIL's championship schedule for this season's 11-man state football title games:

Friday, Dec. 14

• 3A Division I -- 7:30 p.m.

Thursday, Dec. 20

• 1A Division II -- 12 p.m.
• 1A Division I -- 4 p.m.
• 2A Division II -- 8 p.m.

Friday, Dec. 21

• 2A Division I -- 12 p.m.
• 3A Division II -- 4 p.m.
• 4A Division II -- 8 p.m.

Saturday, Dec. 22

• 4A Division I -- 12 p.m.
• 5A Division II -- 4 p.m.
• 5A Division I -- 8 p.m.
