Davis Moore Guides Martin’s Mill Past Big Sandy In Area Round

LINDALE -- Davis Moore went off for 30 points and No. 2 Martin's Mill got out of the Class 2A Region II area round of the playoffs with a 74-33 win against Big Sandy on Thursday.

The Mustangs (30-4) had three players in double digits in the victory. Aside from Moore, Hunter Conway scored 14 points and Logan Jenkins chipped in 12.

Big Sandy was led in defeat with nine points from Jarod Larby and another nine from Jordan Womack.

Martin's Mill will play either Union Grove or Wolfe City in the regional quarterfinal round. Those two teams were supposed to play Friday but weather postponed the meeting to Saturday.
