TEXARKANA — Liberty-Eylau throttled Quinlan Ford, 60-22, while piling up 568 yards of total offense on Friday night.

Decorian Phillips threw for 248 yards and four touchdowns to power the Leopards, and Isaiah Cross scored three times—twice on receptions and another rushing. Cross ran for 77 yards on just three totes, and he had six grabs for 75 yards.

Liberty-Eylau, which won its fourth consecutive game Friday night, evened its overall record to 5-5 and finished 4-1 in District 7-4A Division I. The Leopards will play an opponent to be determined in the first round of the playoffs.

Quinlan Ford finished 4-6 on the season and 1-4 in district.

Darian Walker and Aaron Bruce also had scoring catches, and DeAndre Hoof added a pair of rushing touchdowns. Kameron Levingston ran for a score and 65 yards as the Leopards rushed for 301 yards on the night.

Phillips tossed a 25-yard strike to Walker and a 43-yard bomb to Bruce, both in the first half. Phillips finished 15 of 16 passing on the night.

Other than a possession that was halted on an interception, which Ford’s Linus Beierschmitt returned 65 yards for a TD, every Liberty-Eylau drive ended in the end zone.

Liberty-Eylau scored 19 points off turnovers in the first half and piled up 324 yards of offense before intermission.

Cross and Hoof each scored twice, Cross on a 16-yard run on the first play from scrimmage for the Leopards, and Phillips threw three first-half touchdowns and connected on 9 of 10 passes for 166 yards.

Liberty-Eylau recovered two of the Panthers' four fumbles and scored after each, and an interception set up a short field for another TD midway through the second quarter for L-E.

That was the fifth straight scoring drive for the Leopards, who trailed briefly in the first quarter.

Blane Burch scored twice on runs of 5 and 8 yards for the Panthers.
