The District 12-5A showdown Friday night between Rockwall-Heath and Longview from Lobo Stadium is the + Dairy Queen Game of the Week.

Heath (4-2, 1-1) is coming off a 35-14 loss to Mesquite last week. Longview (3-2, 0-1) was off last week, but suffered a 33-7 defeat to Mesquite in its district opener two weeks ago.

Needless to say, Friday night's clash will help the winner get right back into the district title race. The loser, meanwhile, will have an uphill battle the rest of the way to finish first.

Heath, in its first year in 5A, is led by a pair of Texas A&M commits on the defensive line in Jay Arnold (6-4, 250) and Jordan Points (6-4, 260).

Longview had won three straight following its season-opening loss to Coppell before the Lobos' loss at Mesquite. The Lobos are led offensively by senior running back Tory White, who has rushed for 594 yards and four touchdowns.
