District Champion Carthage Claims 4 of 5 Awards on 20-3A Volleyball Team

Carthage claimed all but one of the top honors with the release of the 20-3A all-district volleyball team as voted by the league's coaches.

Tennessee-bound senior Iesha Bryant earned Most Valuable Player honors, while teammate Marisah Ingram garnered Offensive MVP accolades. Carthage's Morgan Wedgeworth was named Defensive MVP.

In his first season with the Lady Dogs, coach Leven Barker led Carthage to a school-record 33 wins and second-round playoff appearance to claim district Coach of the Year honors.

Huntington's Rebecca Modisette was named the district's Newcomer of the Year.

Carthage and Huntington each had three players named first-team all-district, followed by Diboll with two.
