District of Doom Clash Between Bullard and Henderson Is ETSN.fm + Dairy Queen Game of the Week

A playoff spot from the District of Doom could very well be on the line Friday night when the Bullard Panthers take on the Henderson Lions from Lion Stadium in the ETSN.fm + Dairy Queen Game of the Week.

Bullard (6-1, 2-1 in District 16-3A) and Henderson (4-3, 2-1) are currently tied for third place with only three teams eligible for the postseason from the district.

The Panthers are coming off a thrilling, 42-41 double-overtime victory over defending state champion Chapel Hill last Friday. Henderson, meanwhile, recovered from its tough loss to Gilmer with a 42-14 rout of Spring Hill.

Bullard had a big performance from quarterback Colton Mebane, who passed for 214 yards and two touchdowns and added 76 yards on the ground.

Henderson was led by the duo of ATH Patrick "Monster" Brown and running Diamante Wright. Brown rushed for two touchdowns and caught another, while Wright rushed for three TDs.
