TROUP -- No. 9 Troup's presence in the Associated Press rankings was short-lived, thanks to White Oak's quarterback-receiver combination of Dylan Gale and Jansen McCurdy.

The tandem connected for four long touchdown passes and White Oak caused a four-way tie for first place in District 9-2A Division I after its 38-28 win over Troup on Friday night at Tiger Stadium.

Gale hit McCurdy on touchdown passes of 73, 64, 44 and 43 yards -- McCurdy finished the game with six catches for 242 yards, an incredible majority of Gale's 368 passing yards in the game.

The win by the Roughnecks (6-2, 2-1) caused a log jam at the top of the 9-2A Division I standings. White Oak, Troup (7-1, 2-1), Tatum and either Jefferson or Harmony -- which play each other Saturday night in Longview -- will all be tied atop the district.

Troup quarterback Blake Lynch threw a touchdown and ran for a touchdown, and Seth Gibson added a touchdown run for the Tigers.
