Three East Texas teams remain standing on the final week of the 2012 high school football season.

The region entered the state semifinal round with six teams, and half of them won: Gilmer, Daingerfield, and Tenaha. None of them is a stranger to the championship round.

Gilmer will play in its fifth state championship game in school history and fourth since 2004, while Daingerfield plays in its ninth state title in school history and fourth in the last five years. Tenaha, the only remaining 2011 defending champion, plays in its fourth state championship game.

Class 3A Division II

  • Gilmer (14-1) vs. Navasota (15-0), 4 p.m. Friday, Cowboys Stadium, Arlington

 

Class 2A Division I

  • Daingerfield (11-3) vs. Cameron Yoe (14-0), noon Friday, Cowboys Stadium, Arlington

 

Class A Division II

  • Tenaha (10-4) vs. Munday (14-0), noon Thursday, Cowboys Stadium, Arlington
