East Texas’ Longest Active Football Playoff Streaks

The Longview Lobos enter the 2013 season with a playoff streak of 12 years on the line. (Christopher Vinn, ETSN.fm)

With 29 state championships for the East Texas region since 2000, there are quite a few active postseason streaks worth noting.

Three of the said streaks span three decades, and only three teams that rank in the top 10 have failed to win a state title during their current postseason streak.

None of the top 10 were in serious danger of seeing their string stopped in 2012, and it seems unlikely that any of those teams will have their regular-season success come to an end this season.
