Ten East Texas programs have qualified for state 7-on-7 football tournaments next month.

Four Class 5A and Class 4A programs have snagged Division I state berths: Longview, Lufkin, Tyler Lee, and Whitehouse. Lufkin and Whitehouse qualified at the Lufkin state qualifier tournament June 8 in Lufkin, while Longview and Lee qualified at the Lindsey Park state qualifier event in Tyler on June 15.

John Tyler will try to become the fifth D-I team to qualify when it plays in the Rowlett state qualifier tournament Friday morning. Alto is also competing in that SQT, but if the Yellow Jackets qualify, they will play in Division II at state.

The Division I state tournament is July 12-13 at Southwest Williamson County Regional Park in Leander.

Six Division II teams have qualified for the D-II state tournament, which is July 11-12 in Leander.

Gilmer and White Oak qualified at this past weekend's state qualifier tournament in Gilmer, while Crockett qualified at the same time at a College Station event. Carthage qualified at the May 25 Diboll state qualifier tournament, while Chapel Hill qualified a week later in Bullard. Jasper was the first East Texas team to qualify for state when the Bulldogs claimed a spot at the May 18 event they hosted.
