Versatility can’t be underestimated on the football field, and that’s exactly what Tre Allen gives Chapel Hill.

Allen is one of the only proven veterans returning for the 2012 season from last year’s Class 3A Division I state championship team, which suffered heavy losses to graduation during the spring. But Allen should be a stalwart on both sides of the ball after scoring 12 total touchdowns and averaging 10.9 yards per touch on 54 touches as a junior.

If he remains solid in his commitment, Allen will likely play an oft-used H-back position, which combines fullback and tight end principles, in Arkansas State's offense. Allen holds offers from two Division I FBS programs and should garner more interest as he becomes one of Chapel Hill’s go-to players in 2012.
