Justice Liggins is one of numerous weapons that John Tyler quarterback Greg Ward has at his disposal.

Liggins caught 29 passes for 282 yards and one touchdown in 2011 while rushing 10 times for 98 yards and three scores as the Lions averaged 43 points per game and eclipsed the 50-point plateau six times in 15 games.

Liggins said Tuesday that he plans to commit Sept. 17. Liggins already holds one Division I FBS offer, and with the high likelihood that he’ll emerge as an even more dependable option in JT’s high-octane spread offense, he’ll get more and more attention from big programs, especially considering the number of recruiters who are bound for the campus of one of the state’s top Class 4A state championship contenders.
