7.Tyus Bowser

Like Harmony’s Lucas Askew, the No. 11 player in the preseason ETSN 25, John Tyler’s Tyus Bowser is hard to peg to a particular position when projecting him to the next level.

Bowser plays defensive end for JT, but his excellent athleticism and lack of a high-major defensive lineman's frame could make him an outside linebacker in college. He could also be an H-back/tight end hybrid on the offensive side of the ball.

Bowser, who is an established basketball player and travels during the summer with Next Generation AAU team, will be a terror on both sides of the ball for the Lions in 2012. Whether it’s rushing the passer off the edge, dropping into zone coverage, going out for passes, or taking wildcat snaps in JT’s goal-line jumbo set, Bowser will be a tough matchup for opponents. That versatility and athleticism, combined with an adequate frame for multiple positions on both sides of the ball, should help Division I FBS offers to continue to come for Bowser, who holds six right now, including two Big 12 and one SEC.

The ETSN 25 countdown so far ...

No. 8: D.J. Dean, ATH, Newton
