ETSN.fm 2013 Week 1 Class 2A Poll: Plenty of Movement After Active Zero Week
Preseason favorite Newton retained the No. 1 spot, but that was the only poll position that stayed the same in ETSN.fm's 2013 Week 1 East Texas Class 2A poll.
Newton stayed at No. 1 with a 44-20 win at Bridge City. Daingerfield's 16-14 loss at Gladewater dropped the Tigers from second to fifth and pushed three teams up a spot apiece: New Boston to No. 2 (beat DeKalb 48-6), Tatum to No. 3 (beat Arp 21-6), and White Oak to No. 4 (beat Redwater 39-3).
Garrison ascended one spot to sixth following a 48-0 shutout of Hemphill. Hughes Spring jumped two spots to No. 7 thanks to its 54-21 rout of Clarksville, while previously-unranked Winnsboro jumped into the poll at No. 8 after a 30-14 victory against Harmony.
Corrigan-Camden moved up one place to ninth with a 47-19 win against Elysian Fields. Troup fell from No. 6 to No. 10 after a 28-21 loss to Quinlan Ford.
Arp, which was No. 8 in the preseason poll, fell out of the top 10 following the loss to Tatum.
