ETSN.fm 2013 Week 1 Class 3A Poll: No Movement at the Top

The top seven spots in ETSN.fm's Preseason East Texas Class 3A Poll remained the same in today's Week 1 version.

The poll's only movement came from No. 8 and lower. Liberty-Eylau moved up one spot to eighth following the Leopards' 49-20 win at Paul Pewitt, while the ninth and 10th spots went to poll newcomers.

Pittsburg jumped to No. 9 following a 55-14 home blowout of Wills Point. Gladewater took the 10th spot after its 16-14 home win against Daingerfield.

Center, previously No. 8, and Van, previously No. 10, fell out of the top 10 following a 27-7 loss to Buna and a 42-38 loss to Pine Tree, respectively.

The first through seventh spots remained the same as the preseason poll. No. 1 Carthage retained the top spot with a 42-28 win at Jacksonville, while Gilmer kept No. 2 and Kilgore remained No. 3 after beating Atlanta 57-7 and Marshall 42-7, respectively.

Jasper's 28-7 win at Liberty kept the Bulldogs at No. 4. Chapel Hill scored eight touchdowns to keep its No. 5 ranking with a 56-37 home win against Lindale. No. 6 Palestine pulled away from Waco La Vega, 26-12, while Henderson kept the No. 7 spot despite a 45-21 season-opening loss at Plano Prestonwood Christian.
