A five-game winning streak and another District 14-4A blowout win pushed Texas High to No. 4 in the Week 9 East Texas Class 5A/4A Poll.

The Tigers, whose only loss came by a single point (38-37 vs. Tyler Lee), beat Mount Pleasant 51-15 on Friday. That result, coupled with Nacogdoches’ 43-21 loss to Whitehouse, moved Texas High to No. 4, the Tigers’ highest-ranking of the season in the weekly 5A/4A poll.

Sulphur Springs and Hallsville switched spots to No. 8 and No. 9, respectively, following the Wildcats’ 65-38 win against the Bobcats. East Texas Week 9 Class 5A/4A Poll
