ETSN.fm 2014 Week 5 Class 4A Poll: Gilmer Holds Steady At No. 1 + Tatum Moves To Second
The Tatum Eagles responded to a tough home loss to Gilmer two weeks ago with a resounding 41-14 win over Liberty-Eylau in their first road game of the year last Friday night.
It was enough to bump Tatum (2-1) up one spot to No. 2 in this week's ETSN.fm East Texas Class 4A poll. Gilmer (4-0) remained at No. 1 after a 61-9 rout of Daingerfield.
Gladewater (3-1) moved up a spot to No. 3 following a 37-23 win over Carthage, while Henderson (3-1) and Canton (4-0) jumped two spots each to No. 7 and No. 8, respectively. Henderson downed Newton, 41-32, while Canton handled Spring Hill, 48-28..
Kilgore (1-3) fell a couple spots to No. 4 after a 19-13 loss in triple-overtime to Texas High, while Carthage (1-3) and Chapel Hill (1-3) dropped two spots apiece after each suffered defeats over the weekend.
