There will be no guessing as to who will lead Big Sandy this season.

Fresh off a 2,000-yard campaign in 2017, running back Khameron Pippins returns to the backfield. He'll have the luxury of running behind a couple of lineman with experience in Tyler Hall and Peyton Poole. Another big season seems in store for the speedy back.

The Wildcats won't lose much on defense either. Linebackers Erick McFall and Sammie Green are both back after combining for nearly 300 tackles a season ago. They'll headline a defense that allowed 19 points per game this past season.

Although Big Sandy finished with only two losses in 2017, it bowed out in the second round of the playoffs. It will look to avoid that early exit this season and should have a good shot with its returning stars.

The Wildcats find themselves in a tough district with Alto and Carlisle, two other teams that crack ETSN/fm's 2A top 10. Alto was one of the two defeats Big Sandy suffered in 2017.

There will be plenty of reasons to follow Big Sandy's season, so catch a couple of games if you have the chance.
