ETSN.fm Final Class 3A Poll: East Texas’ Best Finish Regular Season Strong

The regular season may be over, but the year may have just begun for a handful of area teams, especially the ones who finished in the ETSN.fm East Texas Class 3A poll.

Nine of the 10 teams in last week's rankings were victorious over the weekend, setting the stage for what could be a special next couple of months in East Texas.

The Division II playoffs look to be especially deep with the top four -- Waskom (9-1), Arp (8-1), Newton (7-3) and Corrigan-Camden (9-1 -- all coming off dominant Week 11 victories. Meanwhile, No. 5 New Boston (9-1) and sixth-ranked Malakoff (9-1) like their chances to go on deep postseason runs in Division I.

White Oak (7-3) re-entered the poll at No. 10, taking the place of Hooks (8-2), which dropped from the rankings after a 34-21 loss to Paul Pewitt in its regular-season finale. Mineola (7-3) climbed a spot to No. 9 following its 47-0 shutout of Quitman.
