ETSN.fm Final Regular Season 1A Poll: West Sabine Jumps to No. 5

The top four stayed the same, but Pineland West Sabine moved up two spots to No. 5 in the ETSN.fm final regular season 1A poll.

West Sabine (8-2), which beat No. 6 Tenaha earlier this season, got a two-spot bump from its 55-6 regular season-closing blowout of Grapeland. Joaquin (10-0) kept its stranglehold on the top spot with a 34-22 win against Harleton that clinched an undefeated district championship for the Rams.

No. 2 San Augustine (8-2) did the same with a 35-3 win against Cushing. No. 3 Alto kept its spot thanks to a 45-20 victory against Shelbyville, and fourth-ranked Timpson (9-1) topped Big Sandy 24-9.

Following No. 5 West Sabine was sixth-ranked Tenaha (6-4), which clinched an undefeated district championship with a 56-0 rout of Sabine Pass. Harleton (7-3) fell from fifth to seventh following the 12-point loss to Joaquin.

The eighth through 10th spots remained the same with No. 8 Mount Enterprise (7-3) beating Evadale 41-18, No. 9 Cayuga (7-3) almost doubling up Dallas Gateway Charter 54-28, and No. 10 Big Sandy (5-5) falling to Timpson in the aforementioned 24-9 contest.
