For more than a decade, the Corrigan-Camden football program has done two things extraordinarily well: reach the playoffs, and make serious noise once it gets there.

It could be more of the same in 2016 as the Bulldogs began the year ranked No. 10 in the ETSN.fm Preseason Class 3A Poll.

Head coach Seven Armstrong has won with remarkable consistency since arriving on the scene in 2003. Corrigan-Camden has qualified for the playoffs in all 13 seasons under Armstrong, and that includes six years of advancing at least three rounds deep.

Graduation took a toll in 2015 as Corrigan-Camden must break in 11 new starters, but if there is one thing history has taught us, the Bulldogs never rebuild; they simply reload.

Corrigan-Camden's age-old Wing-T offense will lean on speedy running back Jaylon Williams, who's is line for a potential 1,000-yard season. Quarterback Ty Love also holds the keys to an offense that put up an average of 38.2 points per game in 2015.

The defense was an issue last season, allowing opponents an average of more than 31 points per game. Armstrong is hoping returning veterans like defensive back Fredarion Johnson can help fortify that side of the ball this fall.

Corrigan-Camden is once again locked into a district with heavyweights Newton and Crockett, which outscored the Bulldogs 161-46 in three games last year. So there is definitely room for improvement in that regard.
