It hasn't taken long for head coach Keylon Kincade to turn things around at Winona. Following a difficult 1-9 season in 2014, the Wildcats made the playoffs and won seven games last year, the most they've won since 1993.

And with 17 returning starters, Winona has eyes on even bigger goals this fall.

The Wildcats check in at No. 9 in ETSN.fm Preseason Class 3A Poll.

Many of Winona's standouts played as freshmen two years ago, and now that several of the impact performers have played together for a couple of seasons, the Wildcats are primed for a big 2016.

Senior Braxton Kincade will work at several different positions, including quarterback, receiver and defensive back. Running back Dee Wheeler is once again expected to be the featured ball carrier after putting up more than 1,200 yards and 18 touchdowns as a junior.

Nose tackle Tee Simmons anchors a Winona defense that's come a long way since Coach Kincade's arrival.
