ETSN.fm Week 8 3A Poll: Henderson Moves Up a Spot, Jasper Ascends into Top 5

The top three and bottom three remained the same, but the teams in the middle did some shuffling in the ETSN.fm Week 8 3A Top 10.

No. 1 Kilgore (6-0) stayed unbeaten with a 31-8 win against Gladewater, and No. 2 Gilmer (6-1) took the week off. Third-ranked Carthage (6-2) scored a big road win, 45-29, at Center (7-1), which fell from fourth to sixth following its first defeat.

Henderson (4-3) moved up from fifth to fourth after it got back in the win column with a 42-14 blowout of Spring Hill, while Jasper (6-1) made its first appearance in the top five following a 48-0 shutout of Diboll that puts the Bulldogs at No. 5 entering Friday's District 20-3A showdown at Carthage. Palestine (5-2) slipped one spot to seventh despite a 35-28 win against Rusk.

No. 8 Bullard kept its spot after edging Chapel Hill 42-41 in double overtime to move to 6-1. Ninth-ranked Van (6-1) topped Athens 42-27, and No. 10 Canton drilled Mabank 48-21.
