Former Chapel Hill two-way standout Tre Allen has enrolled at Longview, according to the Longview News-Journal.

ETSN.fm reported prior to kickoff of Chapel Hill's 38-14 loss to Whitehouse on Sept. 7 that Allen, a 6-foot, 230-pound senior who played on both sides of the ball during Chapel Hill's 15-0 state championship run a year ago, was no longer on the team. Allen scored 12 total touchdowns for the 2011 Bulldogs and averaged almost 11 yards per touch.

Allen started the season playing fullback/H-back and defensive end for Chapel Hill. ETSN.fm reported Allen's commitment to Arkansas State on the night of Aug. 6. He would fit the H-back position used in Gus Malzahn's offense at Arkansas State.

As for where he'd play at Longview, the Lobos could use some defensive line depth, and the combination of Allen, senior Jalen Porter, and junior Zaycoven Henderson, among others, would be solid. Longview's backfield, which features tailback Tory White and fullback Antonius Sanders, would be even better with the addition of Allen into the mix.

Longview, which routed rival Lufkin 45-14 on Friday, opens District 12-5A play Friday at Mesquite.
