Former Whitehouse football coach Randy McFarlin has been hired as the new defensive coordinator at Tyler T.K. Gorman, according to a report from KLTV.

McFarlin takes his new position after spending nine seasons in Whitehouse, which he coached to the playoffs seven times and totaled two 10-win seasons.

"Coach MacFarlin is responsible for one of the greatest turnarounds of a program in a 10 year period in the history of Texas high school football," Tyler Gorman coach Coby Gipson told KLTV. "We are blessed to have him on staff."

McFarlin was replaced by Whitehouse offensive coordinator Adam Cook last month as the Wildcats' new coach.
