TYLER -- It didn't take long for Tuesday's Class 4A Region II bi-district playoff to get completely out of hand.

Fourth-ranked Arlington Seguin used a huge opening quarter to built an insurmountable lead in a 67-31 win over Nacogdoches at UT Tyler's Herrington Patriot Center.

The Cougars (30-4) will face Wylie later this week in the area round of the playoffs. Nacogdoches, which qualified for the postseason with a District 16-4A playoff win last Friday, finished its season at 15-15.

Eleven different players scored for Seguin, led by 6-7 senior Greg Wesley, who had 13 points, three rebounds and two blocks. Corinthian Ramsey hit four 3-pointers to finish with 12 points.

Seguin jumped out to an 8-0 lead and led Nacogdoches 19-6 late in the first quarter. That's when the Cougars embarked on a debilitating 17-0 run, which stretched their led to 36-6 with two minutes remaining in the half.

Nacogdoches, which trailed 42-9 at the break, did not make its first field goal until the 7:22 mark of the third quarter.

Kwa' Jones led the Dragons with eight points.
