TEXARKANA -- Longview got the best start imaginable in Friday's District 15-5A game at Texas High. It scored four runs in the top of the first inning.

The Tigers got the last laugh in a 9-6 win.

Texas High began mounting its comeback with two runs in the third inning. It captured the lead in the fifth inning in the midst of a five-run frame and then added another two scores in the sixth inning.

The Lobos scored two runs in the top of the seventh, but they could not make it all the way back.

Kyrian Williams led three tigers Tigers with multi-hit nights. He batted 3-for-3 at the plate and recorded three RBIs.

Dezmond Chumley and Luke Armstrong recorded 2-for-3 nights on the losing side.

Longview hosts Mt. Pleasant on Tuesday. Texas High will simultaneously travel to Marshall.

 

Bullard Shuts Out Spring Hill

BULLARD -- The Bullard Panthers earned a 4-0 win over Spring Hill in District 16-4A action Friday night.

Bullard pitcher Zach Eschberger struck out 11 in a four-hit, complete-game shutout to lead the way. He also produced a double and an RBI at the plate.

Jacob Johnson led the Panthers offense by going 3-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored.

Spring HIll's Parker White suffered the loss, allowing two runs on five hits. He struck out seven and walked six in five innings.

Bullard returns to action Thursday at Chapel Hill, while Spring Hill looks to rebound at Kilgore the same night.

 

Elkhart Falls In 21-3A

CROCKETT -- Elkhart jumped head 2-0 in the first half inning of play Friday at Crockett, but the the Bulldogs rallied back with two runs of their own in the bottom first on the way to a 9-6 win.

With the loss, Elkhart fell to 11-8 overall and 3-2 in the league.

The Elks host Trinity on Tuesday. Crockett will travel to Buffalo.
