SANTILLO -- Bullard continued on its winning ways Friday in Santillo's girls basketball tournament.

The Lady Panthers took down Bloomburg and Royse City's junior varsity team to supplement tournament wins against Paris Chisum and Winnsboro on Thursday.

Bullard shooting was red hot in a 51-14 win against Bloomburg. The team connected on nine 3-point attempts.

Hannah Lloyd and Lauren Zachry led the team with 19 and 10 points, respectively.

Bullard beat Royce City's No. 2 team, 52-22.

The Lady Panthers are now 7-0.

 

Henderson Beats Gladewater In Shootout

GLADEWATER -- Usual suspects Joy Williams and Ja'Keyah Stewart provided Henderson with just enough firepower to undo Gladeater in a 61-56 road win.

Williams scored 20 points while Stewart and Nakia McElhanon chipped in 12 points each.

Stewart had to sit early. She picked up two fouls in the first minute. Star Hill kept the offense clicking early before Stewart returned to her spot at point guard. Back in the game, Stewart served four assists.

Williams shot 9 of 11 from the charity stripe, recorded seven rebounds and had three steals on defense. McElhanon also had seven boards and recorded four steals.

Gladewater put up a good effort in the game. Two players, Goodwyn and Duncan, combined for 36 points.

Henderson (3-1) will host Chapel Hill on Monday. Gladewater will travel to Big Sandy on Monday before breaking for Thanksgiving.

Cheyenne Browns Hangs 30 On Central Heights

BEN WHEELER -- Martin's Mill got its first win of the season with Cheyenne Brown's big Friday.

The 6-1 forward scored 30 points in a 47-39 win against Nacogdoches Central Heights.

The Lady Mustangs (1-2) hit three shots from behind the arc in the game.

Martin's Mill will look to break .500 after two straight competitive losses to begin the season against Dallas Christian and Sunnyvale in its next game.

Whitehouse's Bench Is Too Much For Pine Tree

LONGVIEW -- Whitehouse took down Pine Tree for a 57-48 win Friday.

The Wildcats (1-1) had 13 scorers in the game and were led by Justin Dunning's 11 points. Freshman Javier Neal rounded out double-digit scorers for Whitehouse with 10 tallies.

Joel Best had a big game for Pine Tree (1-1). He scored 18 points for the Pirates.

Whitehouse will play Tyler All Saints on Nov. 28. Pine Tree will host Pittsburg on Monday before the holiday break.

Martin's Mill Edges Palestine

BEN WHEELER -- The Mustangs boys program wrapped up a great Friday for Martin's Mill with a 61-53 win on their home court.

Davis Moore and Logan Jenkins scored 23 and 21 points for the Mustangs, respectively. Hunter Conway reached double digits as well with 12 points.

Martin's Mill is 1-0 and Palestine fell to 0-1 with the loss.

The Mustangs willl visit LaPoyner on Tuesday. Palestine will try to rebound simultaneously against Kerens.
